Philosophy & values

My philosophy and values regarding movement and dance can be summed up by the Latin word GAUDIUM, meaning "joy."

To me, movement and dance are, first and foremost, about joy, body intelligence, and the beauty of moving with awareness. They are ways of connecting with ourselves, others, and life with presence, purpose, and respect.

GAUDIUM reflects how I dance, teach, and relate to movement.

This philosophy is expressed through seven guiding principles:

G — Grace: Moving with elegance, flow, and presence

A — Awareness: Listening to the body and cultivating conscious movement

U — Understanding of the Body: Respecting anatomy and functionality to move efficiently and in a healthy way

D — Dance: Honoring the art, culture, and beauty of tango, ballet, and movement

I — Intelligence: Integrating mind and body for precise, expressive, and meaningful movement

U — Unity of Body & Mind: Connecting physical movement with mental clarity and emotional balance

M — Movement: Exploring freedom, fluidity, and joy through motion

My approach is based on my experience as a dancer and body practitioner. It is inspired by classical ballet, Argentine tango, Pilates, fascia training, yoga, and embodied physical and mental practices. These influences enable me to guide dancers from different disciplines towards healthy, organic, and elegant movements, and to help them achieve their goals. It is based on a deep respect for the anatomy and natural functions of the body. Thanks to this philosophy, dancers are encouraged to listen to their bodies, move mindfully, and express themselves with ease and authenticity.
