PROGRAM:
Workshop 1: 01.18.25, 2:00 - 3:15 PM:
Ladies technique (Lucia & Maude)
Following is not a passive role. It requires body control, attention and a reactive posture to enable presence and connection. In this workshop we will work on the foundation to achieve this.
Firstly we will work on the foundation for a healthy posture and foot position and look at placement for a stable axis. Then we will work on basic concepts such as walking in tango (forwards and backwards), dissociation and turns (ochos, giros). At the end of the lesson we will also look at a few embellishments and incorporate them into the steps we have learnt.
Suitable for all levels.
Worshop 2: 01.18.25, 2:00 - 3:15 PM:
Men’s technique (Andrés & Burak)
This workshop focuses on the technique of leading. We start with the basics such as posture and body placement and then work our way up to more complex exercises that are helpful when performing figures such as giros and sacadas.

Workshop 3: 01.18.24, 3:30 - 4:45 PM:
Barridas & Boleos in small spaces (Burak & Maude):
In this workshop we will discover ways to dance barridas and boleos, especially when space is limited. We will work on a few fine sequences and see how they can be varied.

Workshop 4: 01.18.25, 5:00 - 6:15 PM:
Turns with embellishments for both roles (Andrés & Lucia)
This workshop focuses on exploring turns for Tango and Vals, combining movements for comfortable turns in both close and open embrace. We will incorporate embellishments for both roles without interrupting the flow of movement.

Workshop 5: 01.19.25, 2:00 - 3:15 PM:
Milonga (Burak & Maude):
This workshop focuses on Milonga. Its musicality as well as some fine sequences will be the theme of the class.

Workshop 6: 01.19.25, 3:30 - 4:45 PM:
Sacadas for both roles (Andrés & Lucia):
We will work on Tango figures with saccades for both roles, focusing on the comfort of each movement to develop creative sacadas.
